Welcome to the Myotonic Youth and Breeders Association (“MYBA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and participation in our goat registry services, including youth programs, breeder listings, online tools, and any related events or activities. By using our services, you agree to follow these Terms.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.
2. Purpose of the Registry
The Registry exists to:
- Support youth involvement in goat ownership, husbandry, and education

- Provide breeders with a reliable platform for registering animals

3. Eligibility
To participate in the Registry:
- Youth participants must have parental or guardian consent

- All users must comply with local, state, and federal laws regarding animal ownership and livestock management
4. User Responsibilities
By using the Registry, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information when registering goats or creating an account
- Update your information promptly if it changes
- Maintain humane and ethical care of all animals registered
- Follow all rules for youth participation, competitions, or educational programs
- Use the Registry respectfully and refrain from harassment, fraud, or misuse
5. Registration of Goats
When registering an animal, you agree that:
- All information submitted (birth dates, lineage, photos, ownership records) is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- You have legal ownership or authorization to register the animal
- Any falsification of records may result in suspension or removal from the Registry
6. Youth Participation
Youth members must:
- Have a parent or guardian approve their account
- Follow all safety guidelines and program rules
- Treat animals with respect and maintain proper care standards
7. Breeder Conduct
Breeders listed in the Registry agree to:
- Uphold ethical breeding practices
- Maintain healthy, well cared for animals
- Provide honest information to buyers and youth participants
- Avoid misleading advertising or misrepresentation of animals
8. Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
- Submit false or misleading information
- Engage in abusive, harassing, or discriminatory behavior
- Sell animals through the Registry in violation of local laws
- Upload content that is harmful, inappropriate, or violates others’ rights
- Attempt to manipulate records, awards, or youth program outcomes
9. Privacy and Data Use
We collect and store information necessary for registry operations, such as:
- User contact information
- Goat registration data
- Youth program participation records
10. Fees and Payments
Some services may require fees, such as:
- Goat registration
- Transfer of ownership
- Breeder listings
- Event participation
All fees are non refundable unless otherwise stated.
11. Intellectual Property
All Registry materials — including logos, certificates, documents, and website content — are owned by MYBA and may not be copied, altered, or redistributed without permission.
12. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Registry if Terms of Use are violated, fraudulent or unethical behavior is identified, or required information is not provided or verified.
13. Limitation of Liability
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. The Registry is not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, private breeder transactions, or errors in user submitted information.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Registry after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
